I have dry skin and it needs a lot of nourishment day and night. I trust rich creams or oils for it and I have collected few favourites over the years. But since the time I have shifted to Dubai, I’ve understood that summers can be game changing. A cream gets so messy that it makes me a greasy pot. So instead of creams, I’ve shifted to body lotions. I’ve used and tried a lot during these years and luckily got some gems too. So every now and then, while buying skincare products, I am always on a lookout for a new one!
Hence, A milk body lotion from The Body Shop is what I have for review today. It is from their Moringa range which includes a shower gel, body milk, body mist, yogurt, soap, body butter, So lets see what it claims and how well it performs!
About the brand
The Body Shop International plc is a British cosmetics, skin care and perfume company founded in 1976 by Dame Anita Roddick. The company is based in Littlehampton, West Sussex. From 2006 to 2017, The company had been owned by the French cosmetics company L’Oréal. Since June 2017, It is owned by a Brazilian cosmetics company Natura.
Lightweight yet incredibly softening, our Moringa lotion is the perfect compliment to your bodycare routine. Your skin will feel smoother, nourished and more silky-soft to the touch.
- Body milk
- Moisturises for 24hr hydration
- For dry skin
- Light, milky texture
- Quickly absorbed
- Leaves skin feeling softer and hydrated
- Fresh, green floral scent
- Seed oil from hand-picked moringa pods
The round plastic bottle with a dispensing pump carries this lotion.
It looks like a cool spray bottle akin to a body mist. The spray is powerful and dispenses a small jet of this milky lotion. Because of its fluid consistency, it is easy to apply and gets absorbed quickly. So spraying on respective body part is advised instead of hands.

12 months from the date of opening.
- The product is vegetarian, cruelty free and parben free.
- The consistency is light and can be a great summer lotion.
- It absorbs nicely in the skin without much of an effort.
- It smells of fresh moringa which is a delicate floral fragrance. Either you love it or you hate it.
- It is non greasy and is gentle on sensitive skin.
- It can work upto 3-4 hours, so need to be reapplied, so may not be an idle product for dry skin beauties.
- The fragrance as I stated earlier may be strong for some, so try a tester before you buy it.
Yay or Nay
I am not a big fan of Moringa scented products as the fragrance is really powerful. But in this case, the body doesn’t smell of overused cologne, instead its a delicate flowery touch . It is definitely light weight so oily skin beauties may find a good alternative in this. For dry to combination skin, It doesn’t replace a normal lotion as you need to reapply it after few hours to keep dryness at bay in winters. But for summers, a thumps up!
So like always, let me conclude this review here. I’ll see you guys soon with one more blogpost.
