So I received these four Maxfactor products from Influenster for trying and reviewing. These are all for the base of the face. I received a face finity all day flawless 3 in 1 foundation, a miracle contouring kit, a miracle glow duo pro illuminator and a compact foundation. I used them a couple of times on my face and I am ready with my verdict. Lets see how well these products performed!
Foundation
Claim:
This foundation primes the skin with a flexi-hold technology that creates a strong yet lightweight film which sits comfortably on the skin. Next, micro-correctors within the formula operate like little mechanics to defend against external influencers like sweat and sebum, correcting and maintaining the look over time whilst preventing shine.
My experience:
To start with, the foundation that I got was a lot lighter than my skin tone. So I had to mix it with a darker one to get my perfect shade. Also I found it much easier to apply it with a sponge than a brush. Nevertheless, this foundation is 3 in 1 which acts as Primer, Concealer, and Foundation and it has SPF 20. It is not full coverage but is easily buildable with no caking and transfer. It covers the blemishes and pimples nicely and feels lightweight. Although it claims to have a matte finish, it does need extra powder. I have combination skin, so I needed some powder touch up after 3-4 hours on my nose and chin. All in all a good drugstore foundation!
Contouring Kit
Claim:
High definition, minimum effort. Contour in 3 easy steps. Miracle Contouring Palette is a 8-shade palette, designed by Max Factor make-up artists to suit every skin tone. Creamy soft texture allows for a quick and easy contouring look as formula is easily blendable and buildable.
My experience:
This is one of the best contouring kits available in the market right now and it coming from a drugstore brand is the cherry on the cake. Lets talk about the packaging first. It is classy and the shades are removable from the palette (which is awesomely thoughtful). The product is creamy, has different colour options and is easily blendable. In my case, I have an oval face with distinct cheekbones. So contouring is not a must for me, but a little more sculpted face doesn’t hurt! I used a contouring brush to blend it. Just a few strokes and I had well-defined cheekbones. It may take a little longer for girls with round or chubby face, but for me, this was the easiest. A must have!
Face finity Compact
Claim:
Covers like a foundation, light as a powder. Achieve a long-lasting , matte finish with Max Factor Facefinity Compact, now with SPF20. The finish of a powder, the longevity of a foundation and buildable coverage, Facefinity Compact answers all your beauty needs in one. A maximum impact, minimal fuss mattifier, its small portable shape is designed to fit any bag, making it perfect whether applying at home or on the go to achieve an everyday make up look.
My experience:
I was way too excited to use this compact. This was the first product that grabbed my attention when this voxbox had arrived. Before going into details, first of all lets appreciate the chić aesthetics of this compact. Such a luxurious gold look on the outside and a big mirror on the inside. Makeup junkies couldn’t have asked for more! As far as the product is concerned, it is a powder foundation which gives a little satin finish. It is lightweight, doesn’t feel creased or cakey. It comes in a slim packaging with a sponge, so can be an “on the go” foundation for some. It has a light to medium coverage and gives a natural look to the skin.
Miracle Glow duo pro illumimnator
Claim:
Miracle Glow Duo is a duo of creamy highlighters: one matte highlighter to perfect skin and one shimmery highlighter to boost radiance and glow. Use them alone or in combination. Shades have been designed by Max Factor make-up artists to suit every skin tone. Creamy soft texture allows for a quick and easy highlighting look as formula is easily blendable and buildable. Highlighting adds more light and is used to emphasise the angular areas on your face that naturally catch light.
My experience:
I enjoyed every product in this kit except this illuminator. This product is meant to give you simple glow look or a day highlight, but it didn’t give me either. The light shade is shimmery as bronzer but darker as highlight. Neither did I find the glow nor the radiance. This product was a total miss for me. However, talking about its texture and blendability, this is amazingly good.
Final thoughts:
So here is my before and after photo.
The foundation was smooth and glides perfectly offering a medium coverage. The contouring kit was absolutely wonderful. The powder foundation was like bb cream but illuminator couldn’t be miraculous.
So here is my experience with the maxfactor products, I hope you liked it.
I’ll see you guys soon!
